PREVENTIVE PRACTICES
Milk teeth are weaker and less durable than permanent teeth in terms of structure and morphology. Decay that begins in milk teeth progresses very quickly. Therefore, it is very important to perform preventive treatments in children.

PREVENTIVE TREATMENTS

Fluoride applications and fissure sealants

There are many things that can be done to prevent cavities, starting from infancy. Symptoms of tooth decay may not be noticed in a short time, so precautions should not be abandoned even when there are no symptoms.

DENTAL ACCIDENTS

Trauma and injury treatments

Tooth fractures in children are an important health problem known as trauma and are seen between the ages of 1-10. Tooth fractures are especially common in children between the ages of 7-10. The front incisors are the most damaged by this dental trauma.

DENTAL TREATMENTS IN CHILDREN

All pedodontic treatments

In pediatric dentistry, applications such as fillings, root canals, aesthetic crown coatings, tooth extractions, space maintainers, children’s prosthesis, teeth whitening and children’s orthodontic treatments are performed for children.

SEDATION

General Anesthesia

In pediatric dentistry, dental treatments can be performed safely and healthily under general anesthesia or sedation for children who are extremely anxious, unable to communicate, or for children with special needs (disabled) who cannot be treated while awake.

When should my baby have his/her first dental check-up?

After your baby’s first tooth appears, they should have their first dental check-up until they are approximately one year old. It is important to make sure that the doctor they are checking with is a pedodontist, or a pediatric dentist. After that, dental check-ups every 6-12 months are important. During these check-ups, parents learn about their child’s oral health and preventive treatments they can apply. In this way, health problems that may occur later on can be prevented.

Importance of Milk Teeth

Milk teeth ensure that permanent teeth grow properly and at the right time. Milk teeth, which are important for your child’s health, are also very important for the child’s psychology. Click for detailed information…

Hypnosis for children's dental treatment in Antalya

Painless, comfortable, safe

Hypnosis is a safe and effective method that helps reduce fear and anxiety during pediatric dental treatment. It can be used to relax children, especially those who have a dentist phobia or who have difficulty cooperating, and to facilitate the treatment process.

With hypnosis, children’s attention is directed positively, their perception of pain decreases and they become more compliant with treatment. This method aims to make children’s dentist experience a positive and stress-free process, rather than a traumatic one.
